Lock a Widget

Locking a widget prevents it from being moved, resized, or edited. This helps you avoid making unintentional changes while working on other parts of your document.

Lock a text widget

Follow these steps:

Step 1:

Select the text widget you want to lock.

To select multiple widgets, hold the Shift key and click to add more widgets.

Step 2:

On the contextual toolbar, click the More (···) icon.

Then click Lock.

Lock other widgets

Follow these steps:

Step 1:

Select the widget you want to lock.

To select multiple widgets, hold the Shift key and select additional widgets.

Step 2:

On the contextual toolbar, click the Lock icon.

Unlock a widget

To unlock a widget

• Select the locked widget
• Click the Unlock icon on the contextual toolbar

What you can and can’t do when a widget is locked

When a widget is locked, you can’t:

• Move the widget
• Resize the widget
• Edit the content

When a widget is locked, you can:

• Copy styles from another widget
• Apply brand colors
• Apply brand fonts
• Apply theme colors
