Zoho CRM Integration

DocHipo’s Zoho CRM Integration allows you to create personalized proposals using Zoho CRM Deal data, including related Account and Contact information. You can generate proposals directly inside Zoho CRM Deals, automatically populate client details using merge fields, and track the proposal status from within Zoho CRM.

This integration helps sales teams, agencies, consultants, and service providers create proposals faster by eliminating manual data entry and ensuring proposal consistency.

What Does This Integration Do?

With the Zoho CRM Integration, you can:

  • Personalize proposals using fields from Zoho CRM Deals, including related Account and Contact information.
  • Create proposals directly from Zoho CRM Deal records.
  • Track proposal status inside Zoho CRM.
Step 1: Connect Zoho CRM with DocHipo

1. Click the Gear icon at the bottom-left corner of the application to open Company Settings.

2. Under the General group, go to Integrations and click Zoho CRM.

3. Click the Enable button and authorize the connection with Zoho CRM.

Once connected, you can start creating proposals in DocHipo using Zoho CRM Deal data.

Create a Proposal Using Zoho CRM Deal Data

1. Select a proposal template of your choice and click Select.

2. On the Create Document form, choose Zoho CRM as the Data Source.

3. Copy the Zoho CRM Deal record URL for which you want to create the proposal and paste it into the Record URL field.

4. On the proposal document, press # inside any text content to insert a merge field. There are three types of merge fields available: System Merge Fields, Custom Merge Fields and External Merge Fields. Go to External Merge Fields. The External Data Source and Record URL will remain prepopulated.

Choose a field from:

  • the Deal record, or
  • the related Account record, or
  • the related Contact record

Click Insert Merge Field to place the merge field in your proposal.

Note:

Proposals created using this method will not appear inside Zoho CRM.

If you want to create and track proposals directly inside Zoho CRM Deals without copying and pasting the Zoho CRM Deal record URL, install the DocHipo extension described in Step 2.

Step 2: Install the DocHipo Extension in Zoho CRM

Installing the DocHipo Extension allows you to create proposals directly from Zoho CRM Deal records

1. Sign in to Zoho CRM.

2. Navigate to Marketplace.

3. Search for DocHipo.

4. Click the Install button.

5. Agree to the terms and conditions, then click Continue.

6. Choose Install for all users and click Confirm.

Once installed, open any Deal record in Zoho CRM.

You will see the Create DocHipo Proposal button at the top-right corner.

Create a Proposal from Zoho CRM

1. Click the Create DocHipo Proposal button.

2. You will be prompted to sign in to DocHipo.

3. After signing in, you can choose a proposal template from the DocHipo template library, or your Company Templates.

4. After selecting a template, the Create Document form will appear.

5. The following fields will be automatically prepopulated: External Data Source and Record URL

6. Click Next to customize your proposal and insert Zoho CRM merge fields, if required.

Once created, the proposal will appear in the Deal record’s related list in Zoho CRM along with its status. The status could be any of the following, viz. Draft, Live, Accepted or Declined.

Publish a Proposal with Zoho CRM Merge Fields as a Company Template

If you create a proposal containing Zoho CRM merge fields, you can publish it as a Company Template so everyone in your organization can reuse it.

1. Select the proposal.

2. Click Publish as Template.

Once published, it will be available under Company Templates for your entire organization.

Yes. After connecting Zoho CRM, you can use Zoho CRM Deal record URLs to populate proposal content using merge fields. These fields can pull data from the Deal, Account, and Contact records.

Yes. After installing the DocHipo extension for Zoho CRM, you will see the Create DocHipo Proposal button inside every Deal record, allowing you to generate proposals directly from Zoho CRM.

Yes. When a proposal is created using the DocHipo extension, it appears in the Deal record’s related list, where you can track its status.

Can I reuse proposals with Zoho CRM merge fields?

Yes. Once you create a proposal with Zoho CRM merge fields, you can publish it as a Company Template so your team can reuse it for future deals.

What permissions are required to connect Zoho CRM with DocHipo?

To connect the integration, you need Admin access in DocHipo and Super Admin access in Zoho CRM.

Required Permission

Make sure your Zoho CRM users have API Access enabled. You can enable it from: Extension Permissions → CRM API. Without this permission, the integration will not be able to fetch Zoho CRM data. Details here.
