Rename a Document

You can rename a document in DocHipo either from the Documents page or directly from within the document editor.

Rename a document from the Documents page

You can rename any document without opening it.

Step 1:

Go to the Documents page and locate the document you want to rename.

Step 2:

If you are using Gallery view or Tile view, click the three-dot (···) menu on the document and select Rename.

If you are using List view, click the three-dot (···) menu next to the document and select Rename.

Step 3:

Enter the new document name and click Save.

Rename a document from within the document editor

You can also rename a document while editing it.

Open the document in the DocHipo editor.

Next to the document name at the top, click the pencil (✏️) icon and update the document name.

That’s it! Your document name will be updated instantly.

Who can rename a document?

Only the document owner can rename a document by default. If the document is shared with other team members and they have Read Write or Full Access permissions, they can also rename the document. Additionally, the Super Admin of the account can rename any document.
